RTA (35mm Double Exposure)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

This photo was taken with a 35mm camera. It was made using an older classic photographic technique called a double exposure (so it was not created with photoshop). Thus it was made in the camera itself, which involves a higher degree of difficulty and some skill/luck. You basically pre-choose your camera settings carefully and try and expose a correctly balanced photo upon the same section of 35mm film- by overlaying 2 scenes within a single frame. This exposure turned out really well of the RTA buses and Cleveland skyline.

This is from a 3 month documentry series I did on Cleveland's RTA transit system in 2004. The exhibit was held at GOPA Gallery and entitled "Rapid Stasis: Time and Space on Cleveland's Transit Lines."
