MIND/MATTER

Mind/Matter was a massage therapy & fitness training business. I was contracted to redesign their identity including the logo, business cards, promo material, and website. Their prior branding consisted of a few clip art images and text.

For 14 years (2005 - 2019), I volunteered my services to a local Akron church, as a web/graphic designer and photographer. I completely rebuilt and improved their outdated 3 page website that only included a few pictures and some basic information. I migrated everything into a CMS platform, added many new features and enhanced it into a much more dynamic and engaging modern-day site that attracted members monthly and kept them connected and informed.

RESPONSIBILITES:​​

  • Website management, Internet marketing, E-communications

  • Gathered, organized and generated information about the congregation, ministries, programs, special events and activities that captured the core values and assets of the church

  • Participated in church activities and events to video, photograph and journalize activities for communication and archival purposes

  • Created videos as needed for social media marketing, special worship services, and other events 

  • Designed promotional materials (flyers, banners, signs, posters and displays)

  • Created and managed the church’s Facebook page, YouTube, Vimeo, Buzzsprout Podcast Feed and other social media accounts.

  • Ensured the domain registrations and related website licenses were renewed before expiration

  • Researched and reached out to multiple online directories that held similar values to the church to increase SEO back-linking

  • Researched, analyzed, and implemented new cost-productive web apps, and constantly fine-tuned website to match existing creative marketing ideas to engage with viewers 

  • Served as Creator & Director for Audio/Visual team on Sunday mornings and at other times as needed
